SHR IPL vs HL10 diode laser
The verdict
Choose the SHR IPL at £4,800 ex. VAT for a broad salon menu serving mostly Fitzpatrick I–IV. Choose the HL10 diode at £7,700 ex. VAT if you treat Fitzpatrick V–VI, want six to eight session courses instead of eight to twelve, or need higher throughput.
| Price from (ex. VAT) | £4,800 | £7,700 |
|---|---|---|
| Output | Broadband 640–950nm | 755 / 808 / 940 / 1064nm laser |
| Skin types in practice | Fitzpatrick I–IV | Fitzpatrick I–VI |
| Typical course length | 8–12 sessions | 6–8 sessions |
| Consumable emitter | Lamp, rated in shots | None |
| Other treatments | Pigmentation, rejuvenation | Hair removal only |
Choose the first
You need several services from one affordable console and your client base is light to mid phototype. At eight to ten treatments a week this is the sounder commercial position.
Choose the second
Hair removal is core, or Fitzpatrick V–VI clients are part of the plan. The £2,900 difference buys skin-type coverage no IPL filter can replicate, plus zero consumable emitter cost.
Neither of these? If you want both — broad IPL menu and diode laser coverage — the Triluxe Pro 3 combines them in one console at £12,500 ex. VAT.
